History

AdvanTec Engineering GmbH was founded in 2008 by Dipl.-Ing. Harald Wangerin and Dipl.-Ing. Bodo Wisch, initially establishing its headquarters at the Airport Center Bremen – in close proximity to Bremen Airport and the AIRBUS site. In 2024, the decision was made to relocate the company’s headquarters to Hannover, where it is now based in the Technology Center within the Science Park.

Our team, consisting of permanent and freelance employees, has extensive professional experience in system development and the operation of large-scale equipment. These competencies have shaped the profile of the owner-managed company from the very beginning. Since May 2016, Dipl.-Ing. Harald Wangerin has been the sole shareholder.

From the outset, the company has supported clients in Germany, Europe, and the USA, initially focusing on the aviation industry. Both aircraft manufacturers and their supplying system houses were among the first customers. Over the following years, projects in the defense sector were added. Since 2016, the portfolio has been expanding into the automotive and industrial sectors.
